Arriving at the property, I was met with a façade and carport that only a mother could love. Our client was midway through a renovation that they were doing themselves, when they made the decision to call us in to assist with the design. The design needed to allow for secure parking for two vehicles, a larger front entertaining balcony, and a new entry staircase whilst still allowing access to downstairs off the street.
This was achieved by demolishing the existing carport and building a double garage out from the existing house, which gave us the right shape to build a new front deck; which feels nice and private considering its front-of-house position. A fresh, contemporary black and white colour pallet using linea boards and rendered FC sheet has totally changed the look and feel of the house, that now stands out on the street for all the right reasons.
